No room for cycling on this footpath bridge at Lode Mill.

The third new lode bridge on the Wicken Spine will go about here.

This section of the 2050 ride is shared with motor traffic. Reach Fair Reconnaissance ride - 2010

Path southeast along Swaffham Bulbeck Lode from the new bridge.

The quiet streets of Lode.

Turn left here for Lode, straight on for Swaffham Bulbeck and right for Bottisham. Anglesey Abbey is behind.

The Lode junction.

The broken concrete surface on the road through Adventurer's Fen. (Approximate location.)

Riding towards Upware on the grassy banks of Reach Lode.

Riding along the grassy banks of Reach Lode

Cycling along the top of Reach Lode.

The top of the lode here is a rough grassy surface - cyclable but hard work!

Looking back on the route to Reach Lode.

Part of the Connect2 project for the Wicken Fen Vision will build a bridge here, crossing Reach Lode. It will probably be similar to the bridge in #14269.

The route to Swaffham Bulbeck Lode bridge.

Swaffham Bulbeck Lode

The newly surfaced Sustrans cycle route.

A quiet country lane.

White Fen Drove - this is a very bumpy road that is breaking up. The least bumpy bit is near the middle of the road - but you have to avoid clumps of grass and weeds.

Lode Road looking towards the river which is about a mile away.

Excellent-quality bridleway east of Bottisham.

The road towards Lode.

Route towards Swaffham

Track parallel to the A11

Byway junction just west of A11

Where NCN 11 turns left into Bottisham - the footway on along the Newmarket Road past the Little Wilbraham turning could easily be widened.

Footpath only north from Dimmocks Cote bridge (A1123).

Decent farm road for about a mile south from Dimmocks Cote bridge (A1123) then a poor footpath past Upware.

Sustrans route 11 looking towards the Ouse

The incline to the bridge over the old railway line, leaving Reach village.
