In winter, the eastern end of Cherry Tree Lane is impassable to walkers, wheelchairs, bicycles as the surface is very badly rutted. The lane is (unintentionally) being used regularly as a route by delivery drivers getting lost using sat nav ... [more]

Modal filter near bridges to prevent rat running and provide a safer route to Fordham

No left turn into Waitrose car park to reduce traffic on fore hill, high street and brays lane by the market

Market Street is primarily a bus and taxi hub and should be closed to other motorized traffic. The pavements are far too narrow to allow social distancing, particularly when queuing for buses. 2 way cycle lanes and badly needed cycle par ... [more]

One-way (with cycle contraflow) allowing eastbound traffic, east of the fire station, to support modal filtering on Chapel St and north of Lynn Rd/St Mary's St junction while maintaining access.

Modal-filter (by bollards or planters) Lynn Road, immediately north of the junction with St Mary’s Street? The pavements there are too narrow for social distancing, so using road space more efficiently by eliminating through motor traffic ... [more]

Infrastructure needed. It is really hard to turn right from the A1421 to the A1123 safely as drivers rarely give way even if you should have priority

Make one way to motor vehicles. I have been forced off the road by cars using it as a rat run when it should have been my priority

Something needed to prevent cars cutting the corner when turning at this junction. I have had several near misses when approaching the junction with cars on the wrong side of the road due to cutting the corner. it doesn't help that the road ... [more]

Close to motor traffic to give safe route out of ely to ncn11 ans stsubtney, will also make entrance to station safer for pedestrians and cyclists

Close road to avoid rat running from A10 to A142 via Grunty Fen

No cycleways from Haddenham and Wilburton to Ely. Decrease and enforce speed limit in Grunty Fen to provide a safer cycling environment or even better close to through traffic.

A lot of through motor traffic via Fore Hill & Brays Lane, leading to hostile conditions for peds/cyclists on Fore Hill. Also difficult to approach Ely city centre from New Barns Road by bike. Close the narrow part of Brays Lane to motor tr ... [more]

This is a blind corner for pedestrians which could easily be made safer by blocking it off to cars

Modal filter along St John's Road at West End or The Chase. Very narrow pavements plus too much parking make this a very difficult road to social distance on, but stopping drivers using it as a rat run would help, and make it safer for chil ... [more]

Modal filter on Chapel Street to prevent rat running and create a quiet, traffic-free route from Downham Road to Lynn Road/Market Street

The most rapid and low-cost way to create a safe cycling and active travel route between Littleport and Ely then would be to place a modal filter at one point along either Ely Road or Lynn Road, south of Grange Lane. I would also recommend ... [more]

Modal filter here to allow cycling and walking from East Ely to the station

Modal filter along the Twenty Pence Road to create a safe active travel route between Cottenham and Wilburton

Close to cycles. No room for cycles and pedestrians outside the Riverside and Kitchen Bar.

Close to cycles. No room for cyles and pedestrians outside The Cutter

Close the road to traffic, or make it one-way and widen the pavements. No room whatsoever for social distancing, as evidenced by queues pushing pedestrians and wheelchair users into the road. No need for this road to be open to vehicles apa ... [more]

Close the Gallery to non-emergency traffic to allow cyclists easy access to/from the station, and to allow school children to get to/from classes with sufficient space for adequate distancing

Pavements too narrow for social distancing outside shops, etc. Close the road during the day, every day, to motor vehicle traffic (as it is every Saturday from 10am-4pm).

Filtered permeability here so Witchford Road can be used by cyclists without motor vehicle drivers don't use it as a rat run (use Cambridge Road instead).
