[Image taken 12.6.21] Marygate car park, York. A very large vehicle parked here today. People of all ages and levels of fitness and infirmity get out of their vehicles here and change modes to reach their destination, and reverse this on the return. Some people cut through the car park because it's shorter but also because the cobbles on the edge below St Mary's are painful. You can't see round, through or over a vehicle of this size. It's blocking the view of the only entrance/exit on this side of the car park with the cycle-ped-wheelchair path linking Bootham and Scarborough Bridge/the rail station. And the space for manoeuvring in/out is extremely limited in this car park: more hazards for people on cycles, foot, in mobility scooters, pushchairs, wheelchairs and on the Tier hire scooters and cycles... Other issues here today: #170081 and links
