A shame the dropped kerb isn't aligned with the cut-through

Not many here today. I think I'm going to get wet #NotTheReachRide https://t.co/PiI43Fc9vq

There really should be a link from the B1382 to this isolated new development

Unpaved stretch of shared-use path parallel to the B1382

The paved route turns left, an unpaved path continues parallel to the B1382

Surely it would be sensible to put in a proper connection?

Bizarre bend in this shared-use route - was it meant to continue to the schools?

End of Cycle Route sign, because continuing it across the side-road is too much trouble.

Cyclists Dismount sign for the crossing, shared-use footway ahead

Cyclists Dismount for the crossing to the right, End of Cycle Route ahead - which should read Cyclists Rejoin the Carriageway

Bridleway to Chettisham

Another annoying Cyclists Dismount sign - Rejoin the Carriageway would make sense.

I assume the Cyclists Dismount sign only applies to the crossing to the right, otherwise it contradicts the shared-use sign on the left.

Absurd gap in the footway - pedestrians and cyclists clearly carry on on the grass.

Crossing

Toucan crossing and pointless barriers - with a huge space to avoid them

Shocking - No Entry sign with no indication that this is a major cycle route to the Isle of Ely School and new housing.

Shared-use footway to the south; Except Cycle plate needed on the Dead End sign to the right.

According to OpenCycleMap this is a shared-use route, but there's no evidence on the ground.

Unsigned, but I think this has to be a shared-use link west from the Princess of Wales Hospital, Ely

Tempting but just a footpath

This road has become a bit of an eastern bypass for Ely (linking to the southern bypass)

This is NCN route 11 south from Ely - not an impressive start.

Poor shared-use path into Ely

Poor shared-use path southeast from Ely

This track could link to NCN route 11 without a great deal of work.

There could be a connection to NCN route 11 here, but there's a bit of a ditch in the way. The new cycle bridge by the Ely Southern Bypass has been built to be as isolated as possible from the surrounding area.

The Ely Southern Bypass and the cycle bridge are designed to be totally isolated from each other.

The Ely Southern Bypass - massively over budget, but they couldn't find a few quid for a cycle lane.

Crossing of the Ely Southern Bypass

Short stretch of shared-use path by the Ely Southern Bypass - on the former course of Angel Drove, it seems.

How can something so new be in such a terrible state?

A short refuge for cyclists wait for a clear road to cross to the shared-use path to the Ely Southern Bypass.

No dropped kerb - and the footway ends here in any case.

A couple of hundred metres of shared-use path would keep Cambridge-Newmarket cyclists off the A1304.

End of the inadequate shared-use path (NCN route 51) leaving cyclists to cross the road.

The railings around the refuge herd people together. This is a busy crossing for commuters using the station.

Barriers force pedestrians and cyclists through a narrow gap and make it difficult to keep children on the pavement.
