Inadequate central refuge for cyclists to and from the National Trust's Anglesey Abbey property.

Shared-use footway crossing Longmeadow

Shared-use pathway from Swaffham Bulbeck to Lode

The cycle route to the left is just a waiting area for cyclists to cross to the shared-use path on the right.

The Swaffham Prior bypass - it's more pleasant to go through the village.

End of shared-use footway from Burwell to Swaffham Prior

Helpful - no road signs. Newmarket is to the right.

Route signs on NCN route 51 in Burwell - the route through the car park to Tan House Lane (and Ely) is not shown on OpenCycleMap

This is the only dropped kerb to join the shared-use footway to the pedestrian/cycle underpass beneath the A10

Pedestrian/cycle underpass to Ely Leisure Village, west of the A10

Development has spilled across to the far side of the A10 Ely bypass - but at least there's a good pedestrian/cycle underpass to reach it.

Modal filter and private road, Ely

Entertaining - but what happens when a disabled driver turns up?

Overloaded cycle stand near the excellent Toppings Bookshop, Ely - more needed

Modal filter by Ely Museum

City Cycle Centre Department Store - clearly still a bike shop upstairs

Footpath around the east end of Ely cathedral

NCN route 11 sign seen through Ely cathedral gatehouse

This would be a useful modal filter if there was a dropped kerb.

Gas Hill, Ely - this cut-through allows cyclists to miss a bit of Station Road, but you'll still have to ride up Back Hill to the town centre.

End of shared-use footway, Ely

Station access, Ely - it's not signed, but cyclists wanting the new shared-use route under the railway need to cross at the toucan crossing in the distance.

Alternate one-way traffic and a shared-use footway (and a closed level crossing), thanks to the opening of the Ely Southern Bypass

End of pop-up cycleway towards Ely station - the Cyclists Rejoin Carriageway sign seems to have been moved!

Cut-through from the riverside to central Ely

National Byway signs

Grassy cut-through opposite the Ely Country Park - is a better crossing needed here?

Footpath into Ely Country Park

Cyclists Rejoin Carriageway - properly set up and far better than just End of Cycleway and Cyclists Dismount signs

Shared-use footway (not shown on OpenCycleMap)

Grassy cut-through

Pointless shared-use sign, followed by Cyclists Dismount, which should be a Rejoin the Carriageway sign.

Cut-through to Lisle Lane (but through private property, I suspect)

No Cycling - but the full width could be paved.

No Cycling - I think this is wide enough.

End of cycle contraflow, Ely

Cycle contraflow towards Ely cathedral

Access to the allotments - but could this be made into a through cycle route?

Excellent - road replaced by cycleway

No Cycling sign and barriers
